Seventy-five years ago, President Franklin D. Roosevelt signed the GI Bill into law, changing the lives of generations of American veterans and their families. Since then, an estimated 25 million American veterans have used the GI Bill to pay for education, buy a home, and pursue vocational training, reports Veterans Benefits Administration officials. As America celebrates this anniversary and recognizes the important impact the GI Bill continues to have in veterans’ lives, the VA wants to hear from veterans. They can create and share their personal video of how the GI Bill helped get them an education, buy a house, or impacted their life. Videos will be posted daily to VA’s 75th Anniversary webpage. To provide a video, visit https://fs9.formsite.com/gibill75th/fizrlbbyvo/index.html and follow the instructions. Stories will appear through June 22.
