Help keep your home safe and water supply free of pollutants by participating in the National Prescription Drug Take Back Day, Saturday, Oct.  28, 2017, from 10:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. To find a participating location near you, please visit the U.S. Department of Justice Drug Enforcement Administration .

 

The National Prescription Drug Take Back Day aims to provide a safe, convenient, and responsible means of disposing of prescription drugs, while also educating the general public about the potential for abuse and medications.

 

What is accepted:

- Prescriptions/Over-the-counter medications

- Veterinary medications

- Vitamin, minerals and samples

 

What is not accepted:

- Oxygen tanks

- Needles and other sharps

- Inhalers or thermometers

- Nebulizers or IV bags

 

Participants are asked to:

- keep medication in original containers

- mark through personal information

- stay in vehicle at all times
