Ninth CSAF
The funeral for ninth Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Air Force Gen. David C. Jones was held at Arlington National Cemetery, Oct. 25, 2013. Current Chairman Army Gen. Martin E. Dempsey, current Air Force Chief of Staff Gen. Mark A. Welsh III, and other current and former military members joined Jones' family and friends to honor the former chairman, who served under Presidents Jimmy Carter's and Ronald Reagan's administrations, from 1978 to 1982.
